Welcome to Wingman Chat (“we,” “our,” or “us”).

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Wingman Chat mobile application (the “App”) and our informational website (the “Site”).

By downloading, installing, or using Wingman Chat, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Purpose of Wingman Chat

Wingman Chat is an offline, peer-to-peer chat app that allows travelers to communicate locally (for example, on an airplane) without internet or cellular connection.

The app uses local discovery technologies (like Bluetooth and Multipeer Connectivity) to enable temporary chats between nearby users.

Chats are stored locally on your device to support the chat experience and are not stored on any server.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Wingman Chat.

By using the app, you confirm that you meet this minimum age requirement.

4. No Internet, No Account, No Cloud

Wingman Chat does not require creating an account, logging in, or providing personal information.

All data you share (like name, seat number, or profile photo) stays on your device and is visible only to nearby users during your active session.

We never upload or store chat messages on our servers.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Wingman Chat respectfully and responsibly.

You may not use the app to:

• Harass, bully, or threaten others.

• Send illegal, obscene, or discriminatory content.

• Impersonate another person.

• Interfere with the operation of nearby devices or networks.

We encourage friendly, positive, and respectful communication.

6. User Content

All messages, images, and reactions you send using Wingman Chat are transmitted directly and temporarily between local devices.

We do not monitor, control, or moderate this content.

You are solely responsible for what you share while using the app.

Messages are stored locally on your device. You can delete chats at any time within the app. Once deleted, we cannot recover that content.

7. Intellectual Property

All trademarks, logos, designs, and other materials within Wingman Chat and on wingmanchat.com are the property of their respective owners.

You may not copy, modify, or distribute them without permission.

8. Subscriptions and Payments

• If you purchase a subscription, payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

• You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings. We do not handle payments directly.

• If a free trial is offered, it will be shown on the paywall and may be available only to eligible users.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Wingman Chat is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind.

We do not guarantee:

• Continuous or error-free operation.

• Compatibility with all devices or iOS versions.

• That all nearby devices will be discoverable or connect successfully.

Use Wingman Chat at your own discretion and risk.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• Wingman Chat and its creators are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the app.

• You are responsible for how you interact with other users.

If you experience unwanted behavior from another user, close the chat or disable discovery.

11. Termination

You may stop using Wingman Chat at any time by deleting the app.

Because we do not store accounts or data, no further action is required.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the app at any time without notice.

We may occasionally update these Terms to reflect new features or legal requirements.

The “Last updated” date at the top indicates the effective version.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Austria, excluding its conflict of law rules, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence apply.

The competent courts in Vienna, Austria will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
